Webinar presenters vs. Observers

When you launch the BrightTALK presenter screen, you will have the option to either Enter as presenter, if you intend to present to your audience or Enter as observer, if you intend to assist the presenter.

By entering as an observer, you are able to:

  • Start / end and extend talk
  • Upload, launch and control slides
  • Add, remove, launch and control video play-ins
  • Share screen
  • Spotlight presenters
  • Chat with co-presenters
  • Manage audience questions
  • Create and start / end polls 
  • Display announcements
  • Mute and switch off other presenters' cameras and mics

Observers are not able to:

  • Present with either webcam or microphone/telephone (or be seen or heard by presenters)

By entering as a presenter, you are able to:

  • Present with webcam and microphone/telephone
  • Start / end and extend talk
  • Upload, launch and control slides
  • Add, remove, launch and control video play-ins
  • Share screen
  • Spotlight presenters
  • Chat with co-presenters
  • Manage audience questions
  • Create and start / end polls 
  • Display announcements
  • Mute and switch off other presenters' cameras and mics
