BrightTALK and TechTarget are deeply committed to privacy compliance, information security, and data protection. We prioritize the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Regulated Personal Data and Confidential Data entrusted to us by our customers, members, employees, and other key stakeholders. In order to fulfill these commitments, we have established comprehensive privacy and information security programs. While the information in this document pertains specifically to the BrightTALK integration, we also encourage a review of the following resources, which provide broader insights applicable to all our products and services:
- Our Enterprise Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
- Our Privacy and Trust Center
- Our Information Security Program which includes the specific certifications we adhere to
Access Control
Unique individual username and password: To enhance security, we have implemented a password policy that mandates a minimum of 8 characters and a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Additionally, we adhere to industry standards by enforcing an account lockout policy.
Network Security
Firewall systems are in place to filter unauthorized inbound network traffic from the internet and deny any type of network connection that is not explicitly authorized. Administrative access to the firewall is restricted to authorized employees.
Where are you servers located?
Our servers for the BrightTALK integration are located in Google Cloud - USA East.
Salesforce & HubSpot Integration Data
How does the integration work - who establishes access?
Only an authorized client user (authorized = designated by the client) can establish the connection between their integration and BrightTALK. They have the right to terminate this connection at any time and connections will be automatically terminated were that user to lose access to the client’s integration for any reason.
What level of Integration Access does BrightTALK have? What data can be read?
The level of integration access BrightTALK has is determined and limited by the authorizing client user. Meaning BrightTALK inherits whatever permissions that user has, which may include the ability to read and write data. As a result, it is strongly recommended clients create a specific non-Admin user to authorize this integration so that they can minimize the permissions provided accordingly.
Who at TechTarget & BrightTALK have access to Integration data?
Integration data is considered “Client Personal Data” and thus falls under the “Confidentiality” clause of our Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
What specific integration data does BrightTALK store?
The BrightTALK integration does not store any client personal data, instead we push our data to your integration.
Authentication
BrightTALK uses Salesforce/HubSpot’s authentication to be installed, configured, and used. All requests to Priority Engine servers include an access key used to authenticate and provide access to services and data. Priority Engine access keys will be discontinued and re-issued if either TechTarget or the client has any concern about unauthorized use.
